TADD J. YEARING
Member/Owner
Tadd Yearing focuses his practice on family law and related matters. He is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney and represents clients with a variety of divorce, custody, equitable distribution and domestic violence issues. He has experience with a broad range of matters impacting upon divorcing parties and families generally, including: child and parent relocation, emancipation, grandparents’ rights, guardianships, military divorce, DCPP, prenuptial agreements, asset valuation and protection, alimony, establishing and modifying child support, payment of college, establishing and modifying parenting time, post-judgment modifications to custody and support, palimony and appellate review of trial court decisions.
Mr. Yearing is an Early Settlement Panelist in Morris and Bergen Counties. His writings have been published in the New Jersey Law Journal, The Alternative Press, and elsewhere. He has also been a guest of New York radio talk show host Nina Del Rio on 106.7 Lite FM discussing current topics in family law.
Before law school, Mr. Yearing worked for an internet startup involved in the then new area of digital business-to-government procurement. Later, he worked with a community mental health center, providing care to individuals placed into supervised community-based living arrangements.
These diverse experiences led Mr. Yearing toward family law as a means to help individuals navigate the sometimes complicated legal processes that nevertheless impact upon them on a truly personal level.
Prior to starting Yearing Law, L.L.C., Mr. Yearing practiced with a boutique firm devoted exclusively to matrimonial and family law matters, as well as in the family law department of a large firm.
He clerked for the Honorable George W. Parsons, Jr. of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part, Bergen County. During law school, Mr. Yearing was active with Seton Hall University’s Center for Social Justice civil litigation clinic.
Mr. Yearing was recognized as a Rising Star for the 2013, 2014 and 2015 editions of the Super Lawyers Rising Stars* list.
